ACCOLADES

Mostly my client reviews and recognition within the MTB community for my trailbuilding. As a full time MTB skills coach and pathological volunteer, racing doesn’t fit into my calendar. My focus is entirely on creating fantastic progression and greater joy for my varied and numerous skills clients and robust riding groups.

BIOGRAPHY

Returning to mountain biking at 49 years old and after a 25 year hiatus was both humbling and magnificent. Gaining back the fitness necessary to ride was task number one, then the dogged pursuit of more speed up and down brought me to skills training. After a short few months, I decided my next career path was to coach the same MTB skills I was learning and mastering. With the unique perspective I gained in returning to the sport later in life, I felt particularly suited to helping others who were interested in the very same thing. Through my coaching organization, Del Sur Dirt, I currently work with a stable of around 100 riders and have coached well north of 300 riders! My greatest joy is seeing each and every rider I work with grow and progress in our incredibly engaging sport. With riders from 5 years old to 65 years old, the smiles and motivation I see every day make this the most rewarding career I’ve ever had.
